Senior Vice President of Transitions and New Business, Sage Hospitality
Brad Robinette is the Senior Vice President of Transitions and New Business at Sage Hospitality, where he collaborates with development on new business and oversees the transition of all new hotel properties into the Sage portfolio.
Since beginning this role in 2009, he has successfully transitioned more than 35 properties to Sage. Robinette is a key liaison to the brands Sage partners with. Brad is on the Starwood/ Sheraton Advisory Group, Marriott’s Sales Advisory Committee and Renaissance’s Sales and Marketing Advisory Committee.
Robinette joined Sage in 2002 and was responsible for leading Sage’s revenue growth services, overseeing strategic initiatives for property sales and marketing, revenue management and public relations.
Prior to joining Sage, he was with Marriott International for 25 years, serving most recently as the pre-opening General Manager of the Renaissance Suites Hotel and the St. Louis Grand Hotel, a 1,081-room convention headquarters complex in St. Louis, Missouri. Prior to that, he served as Vice President of Market Management for Marriott, overseeing 52 hotels across seven brands in Colorado, 21 management franchise companies and providing development support for 23 hotels over the course of three years.
Robinette has held several other management-level positions, including General Manager of the 613-room Denver Marriott City Center and pre-opening General Manager of the Dallas Marriott Solana. He also served as Regional Director of Transient Sales and Regional Director of Rooms Operations for a portfolio of 22 hotels.
A graduate of Georgia Southern University, Robinette has always been involved in the community and in supporting education. Robinette is a former Chairman of the Board of Directors of Visit Denver, served as Chairman of the Colorado Convention Center expansion fundraising committee and was a member of the Mayor’s task force for the expansion of the Colorado Convention Center. He is also Chairman of Visit Denver’s Foundation Board. In his last five years in this role, he has overseen the distribution of over $500,000 of scholarships for students pursuing the hospitality profession. Robinette has been part of the Board of Directors for Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation for more than four years. He also served on the boards of both the Denver Sports Commission and Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Brad and his wife Sherry have four children and three grandchildren.
