Kenneth Geist

Executive Vice President/ Partner, Sage Hospitality

Kenneth Geist is an Executive Vice President and Partner at Sage Hospitality, where he is responsible for all acquisitions, development and new business activities.

Joining Sage in 1995 to serve as Chief Financial Officer, Geist assumed responsibility for all business development practices in 1997. Since that time he has overseen the acquisition and development of 45 hotel properties, with a specialization in the use of public and private partnerships to redevelop historic buildings.

Throughout his 30- plus year career, Geist has held numerous management positions including at the Walt Disney Company, Laventhol & Horwath and Coopers & Lybrand. He was also on the development teams for the Jumby Bay Resort and St. James Club in Antigua, West Indies. Prior to joining Sage, Geist was a Vice President of Metric Realty Services, responsible for the asset management of 60 hotel properties.

Geist has earned two degrees from Cornell University – a bachelor’s degree from the School of Hotel Administration and a Masters Degree in Business Administration. He was a founder and former President of the Hotel Asset Management Association and is a Board Member of Historic Denver, Inc.

In 2011, Geist became part of the Industry Fellows program at the Center for Real Estate Finance at the Cornell School of Hotel Administration.
