Kenneth Geist is responsible for all development and new business activities at Sage.
Joining us in 1995 as Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Geist assumed responsibility for all business development practices in 1997. Since that time, Mr. Geist has overseen the acquisition and development of 19 hotel properties, ranging from newly constructed focused-service properties, to the conversion of urban historic buildings into full-service hotels. Under Mr. Geist's direction, projects completed or underway total more than $500 million.
Before joining Sage, Mr. Geist was a Vice President of Metric Realty Services, Inc., responsible for the asset management of 60 hotel properties. His 26-year career in the hospitality industry has included management positions with the Walt Disney Company, Laventhol & Horwath, and Coopers & Lybrand. Mr. Geist was also on the development teams for the Jumby Bay Resort and St. James Club in Antigua, West Indies. He has a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Cornell University and is a graduate of Cornell University's School of Hotel Administration. He is also a founder and former President of the Hotel Asset Management Association.
