
Prior to Sage, Mr. Karpinski was the Director of operations for the Starr Restaurant organization, where he oversaw and developed the current day-to-day operations of the company. As part of the executive team, he also worked and assisted with the company’s strategy, new openings, and future development.
Before moving to Philadelphia, Mr. Karpinski spent two years as the Director of Restaurants at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas where he oversaw 15 different operations and departments. He was involved with the openings of such acclaimed restaurants as Bradley Ogden’s and Mesa Grill, as well as Seahorse Lounge and Spanish Steps Bar. Prior to Caesars he spent two years as the Vice President and Partner of Applied Business Solutions, a Hospitality consulting firm. Before that Mr. Karpinski was the Assistant Food and Beverage Director at the Beverly Wilshire, a Four Seasons Hotel.
After two years at the United States Military Academy at West Point, followed by two years as a Food and Beverage Manager with Evans Hotels, Mr. Karpinski transferred to the Cornell University School of Hotel Administration, where he received his Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Administration.
Mr. Karpinski has received several industry awards, including being selected as an R.C. Kopf Scholar in’99. He has sat on numerous industry panels, has been published, and is an avid speaker. He is currently a member of Denver Active 20/30 Children’s Foundation as well as a Board Member of the Colorado Restaurant Association Mile High Chapter.
