Sage Restaurant Concepts
In mid-March 2020, restaurants and bars across the country were quickly forced to shutter as government leaders implemented a response to COVID-19. At Sage Restaurant Concepts, we’ve always been committed to our communities. Through our Hungry to Help program, we’ve been supporting organizations like World Central Kitchen and Share Our Strength since 2010. As we faced the unprecedented challenge of COVID-19, we wanted to find a way to continue to do the most good.
Keep Calm and Carry Out was a way for us to continue serving our communities as we collectively practiced social distancing, while simultaneously raising money to help those most affected by COVID-19. The idea was simple: we would make a $1 donation for every carry out order placed at any participating Sage Restaurant Concepts location to Feeding America’s COVID-19 Response Fund. Feeding America is an organization that supports local food banks. Local food banks assist those most in need, which includes families and vulnerable communities affected by COVID-19.
We opened the call for participation to other restaurants, knowing that together we could do the most good, and lift up the industry as a whole. We had more than 50 partners request to join in the first 24 hours alone. At the campaign’s peak, we had more than 120 like-minded restaurant partners from Colorado and all over the nation.
Together, we aimed to bring a sense of calm to our guests, allowing them to enjoy a satisfying meal, feed their families and eliminate stress while helping their communities. We are proud to say we achieved that mission, as evidenced through the many carry out sales and resulting donations, heartfelt guest messages and community support we enjoyed throughout the campaign.
Today, we sunset the campaign as we look to the future, including the re-opening and reimagining of our businesses. We look forward to continuing to work alongside the restaurant community at large to re-build our industry. Together, we will continue to do good, bring smiles to our guests faces and help them create lasting memories with loved ones.
We hope to have the opportunity to serve you soon.
